Should You Get Married? (Part 2)

Today is a very special day for us as we celebrate nine years of being married! It’s been quite a journey so far, and we thought it would be fun to do an episode on how our marriage has been together.

In this mushy episode, we talk about how we have grown together, the things we appreciate about each other, and how “for better worse” is actually one of the greatest gifts anyone could ever possibly receive when with the right person.

Join us in today’s cheesy and light-hearted episode as we chat about our married life.

Should You Get Married? (Part 1)

Today we’re going to be breaking down a big topic, marriage! With our 9th wedding anniversary comin up this week, we decided to do a couple of episodes on married life. We will be discussing some of our personal theories and philosophies about the institution of marriage.

In today’s episode, we will break down quite a few topics.

Is marriage meant for everyone? Or at least the majority? Do the benefits of marriage outweigh the drawbacks that come along with it? What has got everyone so obsessed over a simple piece of paper that binds them together?

Find out what we think in today’s episode of Love and Life Advice!

Should You Have a Childless Marriage? (Part 2)

We follow up Monday’s episode with more of our thoughts and ramblings on having no kids after almost 10 years of being together.

Megan gives more thoughts on keeping true to your own life path and not giving in to the noise around you telling you what “is best for you” or “supposed to be” when it comes to normal societal norms and expectations.

Join us for another episode and enjoy! Thanks for listening! 🙂

Should You Have a Childless Marriage? (Part 1)

In this episode we’re talking about our decision to have a childless marriage and how we think it has given us the opportunity to have a more adventurous lifestyle.

We both wanted to wait before having kids – but most people get married and have kids sooner than later. We intentionally waited and are still waiting and for us, it has worked out well. Should you do the same?

We share our thoughts on what we’ve been able to do without kids but also recognize how much we could be missing by not having children of our own. We also touch on the idea of adoption.

Does the Keto Diet Work?

In today’s episode, we’re talking about a somewhat recent lifestyle and diet change we made after Thanksgiving of last year: The Keto Diet.

We’ve been working on eating better, getting more exercise, and making better choices and we thought it would be helpful to give a life update about our progress and thoughts.

We both think the Keto diet has a lot of benefits and so far it has worked for us both! Listen in for the details and join us in future episodes as we keep you posted on our results with the Keto diet.

We hope you enjoy and find our experiences useful in your own journey!

Can You Take a Work Crush Too Far?

In today’s episode Megan talks about how her work crush turned into something more than she expected.

While she never took things to a physical level, she realized that she had a bigger emotional investment than she expected and it made her re-think whether or not a work crush is a good idea after all.

We did a previous episode on work crushes, and while we both agree they are generally a good and innocent thing, it is worth listening in to hear her thoughts on why you might need to be careful if you are prone to heavy emotional connections.

Does Grief Counseling Help?

Hi Everyone.

We’re doing a follow-up episode to our discussion from Monday. Jason shares his story of the loss of his 10-year-old cousin and how it affected him. We both talk more about going to grief counseling and how we both processed our own emotions.

These are both heavy episode topics but we hope they will help someone out there who might be struggling with their own emotions after an unexpected loss of a friend or family member.

How Do You Handle the Loss of a Loved One?

We’re doing another story time episode about handling grief, and mourning the loss of a sibling.

Megan shares her story of losing her older sister at a young age and how she coped with the loss. She lost her sister 12 years ago. She also shares how she processed her death.

Join us for a bit of a heavy and sad episode but one we hope can help others move on from such a painful experience.

The episode will continue Wednesday where Jason will share his own story of losing a 10 year old cousin and how it affected him and we will both give our thoughts on counseling.

Enjoy the episode!
